Weird Questions, Honest Answers

The FAQ page nobody asked for (but everyone reads anyway).

Can I bring my goat to meet your goat?
You could. But Poncho doesn’t share snacks, space, or emotional bandwidth. For everyone’s safety (especially yours), let’s not.
Is Dalo Acres a real place?
Yes, it’s very real. It’s not a concept, a digital dream, or a Pinterest board. It’s mud, fences, healing animals, and a freezer full of goat milk popsicles. Located in Cache Valley, Utah. Come say hi.
Can I just show up?
We’re flattered, but not quite. Because our animals need safety and routine, we’re open by appointment only. Email us. We’ll make it happen.
What exactly do you do?
We rescue animals. Heal them. Love them. Let them live out their lives with dignity and snacks. We’re a nonprofit sanctuary founded by Jon Conklin, based on the values of the New Mexico ranch he grew up on. Every animal here has a story. And we’re here to rewrite the ending.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes! We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so your donations are tax-deductible. Even that one where you Venmoed us “for goat stuff.” Still counts.
Can I volunteer?
Yes! We love volunteers. Just be warned: volunteering here involves actual work. Like cleaning stalls, hauling feed, and not getting distracted by cute pigs. If that sounds like your kind of fun, contact us or visit our Volunteer page.
How do I sponsor an animal?
Easy. Visit our Sponsor an Animal page, pick your new fuzzy BFF, and start supporting their care. You’ll get updates, photos, and eternal gratitude from us and your sponsored critter.
Do you sell merch?
Oh yes. Shirts, hoodies, mugs, maybe socks with pigs on them someday. Every purchase helps fund feed, vet care, and fixing the fences Poncho keeps destroying. Grab some swag here.
Do the animals get along?
Mostly. Until someone steals someone else’s hay pile. Like most families, there’s love, drama, and the occasional side-eye.
What’s your favorite animal?
That’s like asking a parent to choose their favorite child. But it’s Poncho. It’s always Poncho.
Can I send supplies instead of money?
Absolutely. We love donations of feed, bedding, vet supplies, and good-quality snacks (we’re looking at you, overripe bananas). Reach out and we’ll send you our wishlist!
How can I help?
Still wondering something wild?
Hit us up. No question is too weird. (Okay, maybe one was. But we’re still thinking about it.)
