Dalo Acres Animal Sanctuary – Changing Lives Through Animal Rescue and Youth Programs
Dalo Acres Animal Sanctuary — Changing Lives Through Animal Rescue & Youth Programs
Founded by Jon Conklin, Dalo Acres Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit animal rescue and educational program devoted to farm animals and local youth. What began as a passion project is becoming a faith-based sanctuary where animals are rescued and rehabilitated, and kids learn responsibility, compassion, and real-world life skills.
The Inspiration Behind Dalo Acres
Jon grew up on a farm and learned early what animals teach: patience, duty, and quiet courage. After seeing neglect and abuse in his community, he chose action. Rooted in animal welfare and service, he founded Dalo Acres—where animals and children find healing, connection, and purpose.
Our Mission: Rescue, Rehabilitate, Teach
- ✅ Rescue & rehabilitate farm animals who need a second chance
- ✅ Create hands-on learning so kids build responsibility and life skills
- ✅ Promote compassion, confidence, and self-reliance through animal-assisted education
- ✅ Build a Christ-centered sanctuary where animals and people heal together
The animals in our care aren’t just rescued—they become teachers. They help kids practice empathy, accountability, and hard work.
Making a Difference in the Community
With volunteers, donors, and partners, Dalo Acres provides a safe, loving home for rescued animals and offers kids a place to connect, grow, and learn. It’s where healing and hope meet—benefiting animals, children, and families across Cache Valley.
The Future of Dalo Acres
We’re just getting started. Our vision is to secure land for Dalo Acres, build permanent facilities, and expand programs to reach more animals and more kids. With your help, we can deepen the impact—rescuing, teaching, and strengthening our community.
