Why Dalo Acres Exists | Founder Mission and Sanctuary Purpose
Our Mission
Quick answer: Dalo Acres is a founder-led, faith-rooted 501(c)(3) animal sanctuary in Cache Valley, Utah. We provide steady care for animals, teach responsibility through service, and give ordinary people a practical way to carry the work.
Care is the mission
Dalo Acres was not built around spectacle. It was built around the quiet work animals depend on: feed, shelter, clean bedding, safe fencing, patient routines, and the judgment to put their wellbeing ahead of convenience.
That daily work also creates a place where young people and families can learn compassion through responsibility. Faith matters here, but so does the shovel, the feed bucket, the repaired fence, and the promise kept when nobody is watching.
What we protect
- Safe, dignified sanctuary care
- Consistent routines and long-term responsibility
- Animal boundaries that come before entertainment
- A working place of service, stewardship, and hope
What supporters make possible
- Feed, bedding, shelter, and care supplies
- Fencing, repairs, and safer animal spaces
- Youth mentorship rooted in real responsibility
- Room to answer the next practical need
Mission before merchandise
Donations come first because they give the sanctuary the greatest flexibility. Animal sponsorships make the work personal. Purchases through our partners, especially Draw It Out® and K&D Equestrian, provide another way to support the mission.
