Dalo Acres Monday Devotional

Joshua 1:9 Devotional: Courage for the Week

Courage is not pretending the work is easy. Courage is remembering God is with you in it.

Scripture

“Be strong and of a good courage... for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
Joshua 1:9

Every week has a gate that has to be opened. Some gates are physical. Some are emotional. Some are decisions we would rather avoid.

Joshua 1:9 does not root courage in personality. It roots courage in God’s presence. We can step forward because we do not step forward alone.

At Dalo Acres, courage often looks like calm hands, steady care, and another faithful beginning.

Lord, give me courage for the work in front of me. Help me remember that You are with me. Amen.

What does Joshua 1:9 mean?

It calls us to courage because God promises His presence.

How can I live this today?

Take one faithful step you have been avoiding, trusting God’s presence with you.
