Founder and leadership

Dalo Acres was founded by Jon Conklin, who originated the sanctuary’s idea and vision. Information about the founder, president, and board is available on our Founder and Leadership page.

Donations and purchases

Donations support the sanctuary’s charitable mission. Animal sponsorships do not convey ownership, adoption rights, or possession of an animal. Memorial sponsorships honor an animal’s memory while supporting continuing sanctuary work.

Merchandise purchases are separate from charitable donations and are not automatically tax-deductible. The tax treatment of a contribution depends on applicable law and individual circumstances. Retain your receipt and consult your tax adviser as needed.

Website content describes our mission, animals, support opportunities, and merchandise. Information may change as sanctuary needs and product availability change. Contact us if you need clarification or identify an error.

Animal-care information on this website is general information and does not replace advice from a qualified veterinarian. Follow the current label when using any animal-care product.
